Livin' the music
I Was raised in Waco, Texas, started playing in 1958. Study of Violin, then Grandmother bough me a Arch Top Guitar that Looked like Mother Maybelle's Guitar. It was a "Kustom Kraft." After I became able to Rip off " Jimmy Brown the News Boy," like Earl Scruggs, I started winning Talent shows, Grandmother bought me a Gibson ES-330 With Bigsby. 1963.
Western Swing, Jazz Masters: Barney Kessel, Herb Ellis, Tal Farlow, and Texas Playboys members would sit aroung local Taverns jamming, I could sit in & learn chops freely. I Traveled back & Forth to Los Angeles, Chicago, Omaha, Hitch Hiking or Trailways, Get a Labor Pool Job, play Beer Joints at Night. THEN I Turned 21 in 1971.
